Oh Hey

Mon Apr 14, 2008, 7:08 PM
It suddenly occured to me that I have a DeviantArt account, and that it has been awhlie since I did anything with it.

Well I've finally managed to do something, though it hardly counts as art if you ask me. The random scribbles of an amateur writer, world builder and fantasy cartographer. The drawings are much more appealing when seen in real life, at least to me. But since you, the audiance I pretend I have, will never see them in real life I suppose me telling you this would appear as little more than a failed attempt and saving my vanity as an artist.

I make no excuses for my mediocrity, I am a lousy, impatient artist who's first, and possibly only reason for drawing these maps is so that I might better visualize the world I am writing about. I keep telling myself that I'll eventually make final drafts, but who am I kidding? I'm far too lazy and apathetic to be bothered with the likes of that hogwash.

Good natured self depreciation aside, I'm remaking many of my maps, due to changes going on in my head. I might upload some writing, but the problem is that is very conceptual, almost like a history text book, if the events actually took place. I figure prose is what this site is for, that and poetry, so I'll upload some pretty prose when I feel like it isn't pretentious and overworked.

Yours,
Taog
